Extra Traits: (Choose one of each) Cottonfur is an alright hunter but much prefers combat and can somewhat messy. For a young cat she has expressed an interest in politics among cats and seems to always observe exchanges and habits of different groups. She doesn't seem so keen on being a parent and seems rather awkward around kits. Cottenfur is something of a cat's headache. On one paw, the she-cat is fierce, sassy, and out-going, loving to show an attitude but also loves to socialize. Though she does display a tendency to be sarcastic or giving biting remarks, sometimes even being snarky when she doesn't mean to. She can also be loyal but seems to always be guarded, deep down being fearful that she will never belong or fit in. It's this reason that she tends to keep others at arms length and seems particularly uninterested in forming any close bonds. Sometimes, Cottonfur comes off as cold and apathetic, showing little emotion when she actually does care for others but finds it difficult to express her true emotions other than being overly honest and through her famous biting remarks that tend to make things worse. | |||||||||

Cottonfur is the daughter of Swiftclan'/ leader Sunstar and a gang cat known as Icy. The two had a secret relationship when the Swiftclan tom was still a regular warrior but coldly broke off the relationship when he was being chosen as deputy, causing Icy to become heart broken and infuriated for being tricked by a forest cat. That day she cursed anything that had to do with the clans, including her own unborn kit which she kept to full term but remained in the city until she was born. Once the kit was born, Icy slipped to the closest clan near the Emerald City Gang's own territory and dropped the kit right on the border, leaving it to fate to decide what became of the kit. Soulclan would seem to give the kit a fighting chance with a patrol coming across the kit, shocked the newborn was left abandoned but finding no signs of Icy anywhere. Thus, the patrol leader, Tigershade, decided to take the kit back to Riftclan where it was decided to take her in and naming her Cottonkit due to her fluffy appearance. Tigershade himself adopted the kit while a queen nursing at the time took the kit in and hid her origins at first to allow her a chance to grow somewhat normally. Her kithood and the first few months of her apprenticeship were rather normal for any clan kit. Cottonfur was treated as part of the clan, playing games and trying to prove she was one of the better kits in the games. She especially loved racing and play fights, willing to use her leaner shape and fluffy fur to her advantage. But under her mentor she also began to grow into a cat Riftclan could be proud of before Tigershade decided it was time that the young she-cat knew the truth. though her foster mother protested to this the black and gray tom ignored this and took his adoptive daughter on a walk, telling her of the day they found her. The truth floored Cottonfur, the she-cat left speechless for a while and in disbelief. It threw her for a loop so much that she began to question if Riftclan simply pitied her rather than saw her as a true clan cat, leaving her a deep desire to know who she was. With special permission, Cottonfur took a leave from Riftclan when she was twelve moons old and journeyed to the nearby territory inhabited by gang cats. There, she met some of Reaper's gang members who she inquired to about any formerly nursing she-cats within the past few moons. None knew of any and the she-cat respectfully dipped her head before skirting around to move deeper into the city where she asked different cats who were willing to hear her inquiry until she finally stumbled upon Icy, now a part time kittypet. When Cottonfur inquired to her, Icy was utterly shocked to realize who this she-cat was and immediately snarled for her to leave. The young apprentice was shocked by the sudden hostility, not immediately leaving until Icy spilled the beans of who she truly was, causing Cottonfur to feel disgust and hurt all at the same time. Rejected by both her parents, one who probably didn't even know she existed, she returned to Riftclan after being gone for a moon and a half where she finished the last bit of her training and was recently made a warrior. But, Cottonfur has also in recent days sworn to make Sunstar pay for what he did to her mother and her, even if that meant exposing his secret in front of all the clans. | |||||||||
