Being recruited into the clan by Witheredstar didn't hurt her ego, either. Her exceptional fighting skills and wonderful diplomatic vocabulary have let her skate out of almost all trouble she's faced in her life, and she never doubts her decision, making the most of the rule that the leader's word is law, even though she hasn't been leader for very long. She has a deadly phobia of the dark, and, because of this, tends to sleep well before sundown and wake up with the sunrise, preferring to shut out the darkening hours. She also hates wasps and water, due to her near-death experience associated with both of them, and also fears death. She would never, ever tell anyone, however, about any of her fears, and prefers to keep her personal matters and matters of her heart to herself. To some, she appears stone-cold and ruthless to her enemies, but her clanmates know she's just determined to prove that, although she's young, she is more than capable to lead the clan she has been passed down by Witheredstar's passing. She adores mentoring others in any skills she's gained, and takes teaching very seriously. | |||||||||

Dovestar was born out of two former Shadowclan cats, Snakefang and Lotusflower in the last quarter of the journey. Her mother had Dovestar and her sister on the last legs of the journey, and constantly boasted how her kits would be the strongest and smartest in the entire new territory, bragging about how Witheredstar was always interested in Dovekit, straight from birth, and how Snowkit was outsmarting cats six times her age. Both sisters grew up with huge egos, but where Snowkit grew to believe she was much better than everyone else in the party of cats, Dovekit strove to prove that she was one of the best and most valuable in the party. She always did as told--and usually did extra--and by the time she was an apprentice, she knew leaps and bounds more about the systems and hierarchies of the clans than anyone else her age, including Snowpaw. Dovepaw was mentored personally by Witheredstar, and was dual-apprenticed with Pebblepaw, who shared the older tom as a teacher. Dovepaw and Pebblepaw became quick friends, stuck around one another almost constantly, and were always talking, excelling at lessons and growing in numerous ways. This all but severed Dovepaw and Snowpaw's relationship, and eventually, when it came to choosing clans after their warrior ceremonies and 20 moon birthdays, Dovefrost went with Witheredstar and Pebblewish into Riftclan, where she was made head deputy under her former mentor, and Snowflake went to Skyclan with their parents, who died in a rock slide soon after the cats moved into the ravine. Dovefrost didn't learn of her parents' deaths until a moon after it happened, and she still slightly resents Snowflake for withholding the information from her. Now, Dovefrost has taken on nine lives and the name Dovestar, and is the leader of Riftclan. | |||||||||
