Extra Traits: Tigershade can be considered a fairly great tracker and an eloquent talker. He loves caring for those unable to, including the elders and kits, some considering him a potentially great father but is scared of commitment and doesn't do so well with it. Tigershade is a fairly easy-going, laid back sort of tom who seems to almost have no worries on his shoulder. He strolls around the territory with his head and tail high, exuding confidence and showing himself to seem to let problems roll right off his shoulders. He is fairly social, articulate, and can be quite competitive if given the chance. Only problem is, Tigershade deep down is a very insecure and self-conscious tom who feels he has a lot to prove and out of place. He knows his heritage hasn't meant well for his clan and hangs over his head. In other words, his confident persona is simply a front and it has become known that Tigershade has some trust and commitment issues despite trying to hide them. | |||||||||

Tigershade was born to an unfortunate pairing of a rogue she-cat called Missy and a Riftclan warrior known as Elmshade. Missy was once part of a small group of rogues who broke off from the Emerald City Gang when things began to change. She fell in love with the city clan cat Elmshade, the two hitting it off as the new clan was working to thrive in their new territory. Their romance was kept secret, especially when the rogue cats began causing issues with Riftclan and some neighboring clans due to trying to move into the territories they did not obviously belong. But, seeing a chance for new territory to call their own they decided to continue and make trouble for the clans. Unfortunately, Missy would come to expect a single kit and was forced to slip away to give birth to Tigershade. In tradition of her mate's clan, she named him Tigerkit, his markings reminding her of such but she was discovered by a patrol, her mate being part of it. Elmshade was furious when his mate explained for being there and made no move to stop his clanmates for chasing her off, but he did decide to take the kit to be raised as a proper warrior rather than as a rogue. Yet, he simply gave the kit away to a queen and seemed to show nothing but disdain and resentment for his kin. This treatment continued for most of his life and it became different for Tigershade as he grew to find acceptance from his father or a handful of his clanmates. He was seen as the offspring of betrayal and enemies long gone. He worked hard to try and prove himself and show he was not his father, slowly earning his own place among the clan cats but never losing the self-conscious feelings he currently has. He worked hard in his apprenticeship and has continued to do so as a warrior as well, busying himself to avoid the burning gaze his father so shows. Even after several moons passing, it is clear that Tigershade does deep down feel like an outsider in his clan. He only inherited his father's build but his mother's appearance, even down to her yellow eyes. | |||||||||
