Extra Traits: Coltsleap seems to have kind of fatherly side to him and seeks to someday be a father himself. Aside from this, he is always helping and is a fairly organized, well-groomed cat and often acts as a mediator for the apprentices of Skyclan. Occasionally he does offer a paw for the medicine cat should they need an extra hand. Coltsleap is a rather compassionate, loving cat who can easily be described as having a big heart. He cares for others even when they are strangers, willing to give others the benefit of the doubt since he knows sometimes cats do not choose the life they live or what happens to them. Strangers, clan mates, or loners, anyone to him is deserving of a chance and tends to lend a helping paw where he can. He is easy going and easy to get along with and will only show a serious side when things seem dire or are tense. He tries to keep a level head and tends to be rather calm majority of the time, although he can be somewhat oblivious as he doesn't realize when someone may be crushing on him or flirting. A lot of this stems from the fact that he has never had his father in his life and that he is from a different clan, something he tries to stride not to be. | |||||||||

Coltsleap is the second son of Cedarstripe and only kit to Daisyeyes, a Skyclan she-cat who fell for Cedarstripe's charms. Daisyeyes had a fling with the Swiftclan tom at the same time he was having a fling with Rowanfang's own mother. When she found out, Daisyeyes decided to end the relationship to which Cedarstripe shrugged off, not knowing she was expecting his second kit who was born a few moons later, a moon after Rowanfang was born. When he was born, Daisyeyes couldn't be more relieved to see that her son wound up looking like her but with a hint of the tabby markings from Cedarstripe. Though the father of the young kit was of question, Daisyeyes decided to lie that it was a loner and that he had moved on. The clan decided to allow the kit to remain and his mother often doted on her young kit, naming him after the herb she sometimes liked to collect when the medicine cats had more than enough coltsfoot. Growing up, Coltsleap was rather easy-going and steered out of trouble, though he played with many of the kits when the games seemed to not smell of trouble. He especially liked the leaping contests they had, sometimes showing himself to be one of the highest jumpers. But when it came time to become an apprentice, Coltsleap was initially taken on as a medicine cat apprentice, one of the medicine cats feeling their receiving a sign who their next apprentice should be. Coltsleap at the time was willing to accept this path, feeling it would be a big honor for his clan. Unfortunately, he felt himself struggling to remember everything and seemed more interested in hunting prey than herbs, only a med apprentice for three moons before approaching his mentor and their leader about becoming a warrior apprentice instead. They both agreed and he was soon given a warrior as an apprentice. His training took a bit longer than normal but he picked up on hunting and fighting well enough, more so with hunting. He worked his way through training and was made a warrior at 16 moons compared to some. Thus, for the past four moons he's felt quite at home in his place as a warrior and has been made aware of his father recently from his mother who felt it was time to tell her son. Though he holds some anger for his father, he does not hate him, but instead strives to not be Cedarstripe. | |||||||||
