Sagescar
He had trekked some ways away from Emerald City to reach this point. The wilderness territories of the wild cats that had been earning reputations in these parts, reputations very similar to what he had heard many times before. These were supposedly the new grounds in which the survivors of moons past had settled and flourished, carving their new lives in this thriving territory, and one supposedly in an abandoned twoleg city nearby. In other words, the elder cat had found exactly the place he needed to find answers.
Sagescar was still in rather deep shock knowing there were clan cats this far from where they had originally been destined to settle. So they had originally thought. He could still recall the return of his brother and the other journeying cats, their message to move...but it had felt almost for naught. They had barely settled back then before everything literally went up in flames and resulted in what had become the Great Disaster. It made his pelt prickle with sorrow and rage, sorrow for the loss of everything he had ever known and rage towards the fur-less twoleg creatures who had made his life hell.
Now, it seemed he might have found exactly what he was looking for: answers. Sagescar had always thought he was one of the few survivors, that the others had scattered to the winds when in fact they had ventured to a new home and settled here. By instinct, Sagescar crept along the borders of the territories until he felt he could find something familiar and as luck would have it there were Moorlands here! He stood there on the Lightningclan and Skyclan border for a long while, taking in the sight and smells, being reminded of his short young life before it had all been torn away.
Finally, giving what remained of his tail a decisive flick, the dark brown and mostly white tom began to slink his way further into the territory, keeping his body low, ears and tail flat as he moved quietly but swiftly over the land. Though he soon paused as his ears picked up some movement, carefully lifting his head to look until he spotted a dark brown body hopping across the moors. A large, plump rabbit making its way no doubt to its home. So many memories flooded back and the scarred elder immediately went into a hunter's crouch of Windclan, moving lightly and quickly across the grassy moors. His body was far from being completely broken down, the older cat moving as swift as an Windclan warrior would have and in a blink of an eye he was on the rabbit, giving it a killing blow to the neck and feeling it go limp in his jaws.
With triumph burning in his pale green eyes, he dropped the furry critter, purring in satisfaction, "I haven't felt this alive in moons." He said to himself, beginning to dig into the freshly caught rabbit until he began to hear new movement. This time it was not the recognizable thump of rabbit paws but much more steady steps indicating someone else was there causing the tom to whip his head towards the direction of its source.

robinleaf
The warrior coaxed her friend from camp. The queen had grumbled the entire time, but complied, knowing they desperately needed help hunting. Plus, since her kits were eating prey now, and at 5 moons, it was only a matter of time until they were apprenticed. Robinleaf chuckled at her grumpy friend, and turned around, smelling a freshly killed rabbit and flicking her ears up, stretching her tail out to stop Minnowsoul in her tracks.
"It's one of those gang-rats. Why are they here?"
She hissed out, crouching lower. Minnowsoul struggled, but followed along relatively successfully, both shecats vaguely silent as they crept closer to the source of the scent.
"Wait here, Minnowsoul."
Robinleaf instructed once they were closer, and the other shecat flicked her ears wordlessly, nodding gently.
"What are you doing here, on our territory?"
The tabby Skyclan warrior called out strongly, her green eyes flashing as she curled her lip slightly, revealing her teeth. She hated intruders, and this one was stealing prey. She blinked in surprise when she noticed it was an older tom, and straightened up slightly, curiosity winning over hostility. She felt her friend, Minnowsoul, approach as well, the gentle queen voicing what they had both been asking in their heads.
────╔╗───────────────╔═╗───────── ╔══╗╠╣╔═╦╗╔═╦╗╔═╗╔╦╦╗║═╣╔═╗╔╦╗╔╗─ ║║║║║║║║║║║║║║║╬║║║║║╠═║║╬║║║║║╚╗ ╚╩╩╝╚╝╚╩═╝╚╩═╝╚═╝╚══╝╚═╝╚═╝╚═╝╚═╝
The queen approached from behind her friend silently, noticing that Robinleaf's tail was puffed out and her fur was bristling. The queen's kind eyes turned to the elder-aged tom who was crunching on the rabbit, her soft blues sympathetic and curious.
"Why are you out here all alone?"
She asked, her eyes slanting downwards in curiosity. She wasn't necessarily threatened by the tom, but she did know he wasn't supposed to hunt out here.
"What's your name? I'm Minnowsoul, a Lightningclan queen, and this is Robinleaf, one of our warriors."
She coaxed, blinking several times before sighing softly.
"In other words, you're taking prey from our clan."
She finally said, frowning slightly and gently flicking her tail. She watched Robinleaf relax slightly, but she wasn't sure her friend's presumptions were correct. She knew what the warrior thought. She thought that the two of them could take one older tom if it came to a fight, but a starving warrior and a tottering queen who was out of practice wouldn't get anywhere with a former Emerald City Gang member. She knew he was one of them at one point, too. It was all over his fur.
Minnowsoul shook her head slightly, before turning her head slightly to focus back on the newcomer, her eyes still welcoming, but cautious now.

Sagescar When the two she-cats revealed themselves he wasn't at all surprised by the initial hostility of the deputy, giving her a quick glance before looking at the queen struggling up beside the other. He was silent at first, letting them speak first before he made any attempts to do the same, sitting back on his haunches with nothing but calmness in his gaze but there was a look of scrutiny as well as he peered at them. Lightningclan? Interesting name, not exactly one he would expect for clan cats living on the moors. But, it wasn't exactly his place to question the names but it did remind him of an alternative name to the forest loving Thunderclan way back when.
"I'm Sagescar, former clan warrior and former gang member, just in case you were wondering." He spoke finally, introducing himself first before tilting his head slightly. A closer look at the two made him wonder if they planned to fight back for trespassing, but even he couldn't help giving them a sympathetic look of his own. "I suppose I trespass because I no longer have everything I once did, and I suppose to draw some attention. I have not seen moors like this since Windclan and I have to question if the new clans are up to snuff in such new places." Sagescar spoke, flicking his half tail towards the rabbit, "But you two look worse for wear." He observed, eyeing their states and wondered if things were not well.
He stood once more and picked up the remains of the rabbit, approaching the two she-cats and dropping it at their paws. "There is plenty left for the two of you. I recommend you eat, it seems times are hard on you to appear starved and queens could always use their strength." His tone was of concern but also stern, having to find such a state unacceptable for those who would take the mantle of the fastest cats in the forest. They looked unfit to have it from his view and he soon took a paw step or two back to give them space. "Tell me ladies, are you and the rest of these cats from that journeying group I've heard pass through a season or so ago?" His tone was genuine and curious, obviously showing an alternative purpose for being there in the first place. Tags: Minnowsoul, Robinleaf ( 《∞♛𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖♛∞》™ ) Notes: N/A

robinleaf
The warrior hesitated, her eyes drifting towards the rabbit, shining with starvation. Her sleek, running-fit body and shining pelt showed her ribs, and the queen next to her looked no better, her belly sagging slightly and her face gaunt. However, both shecats knew the clan wasn't much better off. They were still getting used to the moors, and only a few, including Minnowsoul and Robinleaf, were actually of Windclan decent.
"I'm Sagescar, former clan warrior and former gang member, just in case you were wondering."
The tom spoke up, snapping the she-warrior's attention to his face. She heard a light chuckle, and gave Minnowsoul a swift glare, clearing her throat. However, before she could open her mouth to reply, the tom kept speaking, his tone smooth and even. She hated the sympathetic look he gave them, but didn't acknowledge it, thinking he would let it go if she ignored the emotion displayed on his face. She listened to him speak, ears flickering slightly with irritation that she hadn't been given the proper chance to give her piece.
"I suppose I trespass because I no longer have everything I once did, and I suppose to draw some attention. I have not seen moors like this since Windclan and I have to question if the new clans are up to snuff in such new places."
Now that caught the warrior's attention. Windclan? Did he know her parent's clan very well? How familiar was he with it? She stopped the floodgate of questions that poured into her mind with these new words, and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.
"But you two look worse for wear."
This made Robinleaf frown sharply, and snap her eyes open.
"Well, we wouldn't be like this if others wouldn't steal our prey, and if we actually had some more legitimate Windclan blood to teach our apprentices with, and hunt. As is, our clan can barely keep up with the rabbits, let alone catch and kill them for food. So we understand we look bad, we're still figuring it out."
She hissed slightly, shaking her head disapprovingly. At this point Minnowsoul had taken a step forward, and pressed her tail to Robinleaf's flank comfortingly, offering a smile. She would handle him from here.
────╔╗───────────────╔═╗───────── ╔══╗╠╣╔═╦╗╔═╦╗╔═╗╔╦╦╗║═╣╔═╗╔╦╗╔╗─ ║║║║║║║║║║║║║║║╬║║║║║╠═║║╬║║║║║╚╗ ╚╩╩╝╚╝╚╩═╝╚╩═╝╚═╝╚══╝╚═╝╚═╝╚═╝╚═╝
"There is plenty left for the two of you. I recommend you eat, it seems times are hard on you to appear starved and queens could always use their strength."
The queen gave a gentle sigh, and shook her head.
"Thank you, but we'd rather take this to our clan than eat it ourselves. I'm not sure I'm classified as a queen any longer anyway, my kits are 5 moons of age, and nearly out of my nest themselves."
Her gentle voice sounded, her eyes slanted kindly at the tom, more understanding in their depths than anyone would find on a single tuft of fur upon Robinleaf's back.
"And I know Robinleaf here would't eat before everyone else in the clan has. She's always been that way."
She added, glancing at her clanmate for a second before meeting the gaze of the Windclan tom again. She let out a gentle chuckle and smiled gently again, her kind personality and hunger for knowledge of clans past won out over the desire to chase off the tom, but she didn't like that pitiful look he gave the two. Despite their looks, they were both made warriors for a reason, and even queens have claws and teeth. His next words surprised the queen, and she blinked a couple of times, before smiling gently again, relaxing her shoulders.
"Tell me ladies, are you and the rest of these cats from that journeying group I've heard pass through a season or so ago?"
Minnowsoul and Robinleaf both gave a nod, and looked at each other. It was Minnowsoul who spoke up first.
"Yes, both of our parents were part of Windclan when the clans moved, and broke down borders to survive. My mother was of Windclan, and my father Shadowclan. Robinleaf is 100% Windclan. Would you like to hear the story of the journey? I don't mind telling it to you."
Her voice was gentle and coaxing, her smile never leaving her face, giving away her kind and nurturing personality.

Sagescar His eyes went back towards Robinleaf, a look of a slight amusement and faint satisfaction showed. These cats were not in the greatest shape but that didn't stop them from being alert and proud of their clan regardless of their condition, a sign the clan was still strong in spirit. This was a good sign, one thing he was finding as a positive for the new clans but his gaze did not linger on Robinleaf for long before they were fixed on Minnowsoul this time as she spoke of her kits and not eating unless the clan came first.
"You do your ancestors proud for sticking to such concerns." Sagescar couldn't help purring in satisfaction, being reminded more of what clan life had once been like, what it should have been. Guilt did tug at him though, feeling he had forgotten a lot of what it was like to be a Clan cat anymore, especially since he had been on his own for quite a few seasons now. He had always wondered if things had become different, more like the gang that had taken him in which wasn't exactly like a clan but it had been the closest he had ever come to having one before he was dropped. Though those thoughts quickly were pushed aside as he heard Robinleaf speak and then Minnowsoul.
His eyes widened and his jaw dropped in shock at hearing what they said. They were having trouble keeping up with rabbits? Much less lacking any recollection of how to hunt on the moors? Sagescar couldn't help staring at the two she-cats before him in disbelief at such nonsense. He almost missed the rest of what the queen said as his tail gave in irritated lash. "Windclan descendants that can't hunt...this is outrageous! It makes no sense!" Sagescar growled, mainly to himself as he stood, ears flattened and pacing for a moment before the elder warriors stopped to look at them with a surprising determination in his pale green eyes, burning with a new desire he had never thought he would feel again. He didn't want to see the closest thing he'd ever see to his original clanmates fail and starve, regardless if they had mixed clan blood.
Fact of the matter was, the clans had done what they needed to survive and find a new place to call home. And they had just done that, but for how long with this newly made Lightningclan? His gaze swept over the two she-cats with a disapproving look, seeing their bones through sleek pelts, gaunt and concerning sign of weakeness. "You can tell me later young Minnowsoul, right now my concern is your clan surviving. You two and your clan, regardless if they share the full Windclan descent as her," He flicked his tail towards Robinleaf before flicking it towards the queen," [/b]partially like yourself, or not at all you call the moorlands your home. It was mine once as well, and I do not wish to see that tradition die so soon.[/b]"[/div] Tags: Robinleaf, Minnowsoul ( 《∞♛𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖♛∞》™ ) Notes: So, his choice in clans might be chosen for him sooner than I thought XD

r o b i n l e a f "back into chains, Like I escaped in the first place..." Robinleaf blinked, staring at the older cat with some distinct emotions, but they were all jumbled together, unable to be untangled from one another and made out. She was extremely grateful for the offered help, but...
he wasn't a part of their clan. and that could prove to be disastrous to her clanmates if he tried to assert any sort of dominance, or suggest that he's better than them. it would cause a big issue.
She grunted and kept silent, fearful that if she said anything while he was talking, she would misinterpret it and overreact, as she always tended to do these days. She hated that she did, but she couldn't really change her entire personality.
the warrior looked at her queen friend, and nodded slightly, trying to silently communicate that she should handle the talking for the two of them. 142 words. @tundra . "Talking" 'Thought'.
Minnowsoul glanced at her friend, nodding silently as the tom spoke to them in a surprised and slightly angered tone. Her ears flattened as she offered another shaky, soft smile, and cleared her throat.
"Kind Sagescar, we appreciate your concern. Our issue is our inability to teach our newer generation to hunt successfully in the moors... There are those like Robinleaf and myself, who very much have the ability to hunt in these places, but there is simply the lack of clean moor culture among our ranks to make us effective hunters here, unfortunately. The few of us that can hunt on the moors are either bearing kits who hopefully retain the abilities we have, or working ourselves to the bone to feed the clan the bare minimum. Hence why we are so upset you hunted and killed the rabbit, though we are mindful of your... particular skill set. I, for one, can tell you definitely come from the old clan of Windclan."
She spoke softly, keeping her tone careful and guarded, but remaining sweet. She knew how to handle herself in the field of spoken battle, even if it wasn't a quarrel she was managing. She guarded this skill heavily, especially since she had moons to go before she could fully run and hunt with Robinleaf again. She hardly kept up with the lean, muscled shecat when she was crawling through the undergrowth, she'd hate to be the cat trying to keep up with her on a patrol or chasing prey. It was quite unfortunate there were only one of her, it made it difficult for the hard-working shecat to feed her clan.
Her gaze trailed over to the half-eaten prey, and she looked quickly at Robinleaf, whose ribs were poking out from days of not eating just so others could. She bumped her friend's shoulder and nodded at the prey, second-thinking. Clan or not, if Robinleaf was to have any strength to hunt for the rest of them, she needed her own energy. She couldn't run on an empty stomach, it made her less effective, and unhealthy. Though the effectiveness was often the only thing she listened to.
"You should reconsider kind Sagescar's offer, Robinleaf. If you want to hunt successfully, hunger gnawing at your belly will not aid you effectiveness."
Worry shined in her eyes, and she looked back at Sagescar as he fretted over her clan's survival, her gaze level and her heart sturdy.
"Swiftclan will not go down so easily, believe me. Times are trying, yes. And we might be lacking in areas... But we're strong. We will find a way, we already have the will, and we will survive this."
She said smoothly, offering another smile and not letting her eyes stray, the blue depths burning with steeled confidence in her clan's survival chance.

Sagescar The older tom peered at them, watching a silent exchange between friends he had seen done many times before among cats who trusted one another. He almost wondered if Robinleaf was trying to avoid saying something she might regret or might result in them having an unnecessary physical fight, something he wanted to avoid. He was in better condition than these two she-cats and he honestly did not wish to cause further issues for the blossoming clan. He'd likely handle the fight better rather than the two, but they would leave considerable wounds of their own since it would be two to one. Experience versus numbers and health would affect the overall outcome.
Sagescar merely shook his head, "You are right young Minnowsoul, I should not have jumped to conclusions about your clan dying off. I have seen it happen many seasons ago and I suppose old fears are crawling back of seeing what remains of Windclan's legacy in such conditions." The older cat apologized, letting his fur relax and his own racing, angered thoughts to settle. He knew he probably came off as hostile, maybe even pressing about the matter when it was not his intention. Genuinely, he was worried for the new clan, knowing one had to be swift or at least cunning to hunt on the moors and to have so few who could think in such terms was something he found unacceptable for moorland hunting cats. So perhaps his coming there was not just a coincidence.
"You want the next generation to learn, then you must learn yourselves." Sagescar replied towards them, his tone calmer again but nothing short of determined and almost matter-of-fact towards himself. "I know what it's like to have to adapt to new environments, but you live on something I grew up with majority of my life." He swept his tail to indicate the land around them and fixated his gaze on the rabbit he had caught. "Your friend speaks truth Robinleaf, you should eat what remains. But before you return I will help you hunt so your clan may have a feast. If Starclan has guided my paws here, perhaps I was meant to be of aid for your clan." The tom stood then, giving them a determined but softened gaze.
"I will give you aide if your leader or deputy allows it. I want to pass on what I know of Windclan's ways to Swiftclan, to see that pride truly shine brighter than the sun." Sagescar's words spoke nothing of honesty and genuine drive to help what remained of his former clan. "But to start, I will give you two help in hunting first."
