Sparrowfeather Sparrowfeather's slightly larger form could be seen creeping forward, belly fur just barely brushing the forest ground as she moved towards her intended prey. Before her was a rather plump squirrel, big as a kit and maybe some of Kestralclan's apprentices which would make a fitting meal. What was even more welcoming though was that it was on the ground, which meant it was well in her area of expertise to snatch. Sparrowfeather was not a climber, and climbing trees felt awkward on her paws much less with her frame being too large to allow her to do so. And with her paws practically padded with fur on the bottom it was difficult to get a good paw hold unless the branches were low enough to leap upon. Her pale blue eyes were now fixed on the bushy tailed creature before her, seeming to be too focused on it's task. Two long quiet strides of her paws put her closer to the creature. And before the large squirrel could think to check it's surroundings the sand cat was on top of it, smacking it hard with her large paw to stun it before killing it quickly with a bite to the neck. She felt the bone crunch beneath her fangs and the body go limp which gave a confirmation she had made a successful kill. It was her third one for the afternoon, right after two successive catches of robins, both also plump but nothing compared to her squirrel. With her catch done she carefully dug up a hole to put the prey in before covering it with leaves and twigs to make sure no other predators came for it. Although, a large hawk would be nice to bring to the clan so they could have a big meal to fill all their bellies for a few days. The thought made her mouth water but she quickly shook this off as she turned to look back the direction she came. She had separated from her clanmates so they could do some solo hunting, but now she was curious to see if any had decent progress as she had. Giving a final check her prey was covered, Sparrowfeather made her way through the undergrowth, easily shouldering her way through some stubborn brambles to find those with her hunting patrol. Falconcry Same as his mate he was hunting as well. Falconcry leapt onto a blackbird to find it dead underneath his massive paws.
"You know I am."
He responded to Sparrowfeather as he nudged her affectionately. Falconcry glanced around at the other cats around him to see what they had caught on the patrol. He gazed into his mates eyes for a while until he heard a snap of a branch behind him.The splotched tom swirled around to see what it was.

The reddish tom's yellow eyes gleamed as he stalked a mouse that was burrowing beneath the roots f a nearby tree. The young, small critter hadn't thought to survey its surroundings, and it was that naive nature that the tom was taking advantage of. Redlight slid to a stop, wiggling his haunches a bit and letting his muscles coil before launching himself silently at the unsuspecting rodent, easily dispatching it and ending its life before it could release even a peep of warning to the prey around it.
With the mouse, Redlight had quite the catch, numbering about 4 pieces with a sparrow, a bluebird he happened to snatch from a branch, a plump, fat crow, and the mouse he had just caught. He looked around, satisfied that they would be able to feed their medium sized clan comfortably, at least for tonight and tomorrow morning. However, he couldn't help thinking about the prospect of taking an animal down that was large enough to feed the clan for many a day, instead of having to exhaust so much energy daily just to get the clan's mandatory calorie intake.
The red tom's ears pricked at his clanmate's call, coming from the sand cat named Sparrowfeather, and his muzzle emerged from the hole in the leaves he was using to hide his mouse.
"Anyone else having a good day?"
The Tom reflected on this choice of words. The clan was peaceful, prey was fat and running, and all was quiet, but the quiet made the warrior itchy. His day, while not necessarily good, however, was pretty decent. Redlight decided to voice this conclusion he had come to, but his other clanmate, Falconcry.
"You know I am."
The tom then nudged the shecat, making Redlight feel slightly out of place, like he was intruding on their special time together. He knew there was something between the two, so he decided to keep his voiced reflection very short and sweet, to avoid any further discomfort.
"I'm doing decently as well, thank you for asking."
His voice was calm and to-the-point, matured as he stepped back, dipping his head respectfully and turning to see if he could spot, or smell, any other prey around the group.

Dang XD Redlight came out way more mature than I intended, but meh. Too tired to change it.
